《Music for a Bachelor’s Den》是音樂的精選輯，收錄了50年代後的Jazz、Bossa Nova、Lounge等的曲風，這類型的音樂都會讓人聽起來有種放鬆舒緩的感覺，但在這邊卻是用來當作諷刺，因為歌中描述的是恐慌症、焦慮、緊張，跟放鬆的音樂一點都搭不上。

註解2:
這邊的「猴子在背上蓋了間房子」，通常有兩種解釋，一種就是字面上的，這個房子是個日益沈重的「負擔」。至於藥癮的部分，可見The Beatles〈Everybody’s Got Something to Hide Except Me and My Monkey〉這首歌的背景故事。
