註1：這裡提到的「episode of Cribs」指得是「MTV Cribs」，是電視頻道MTV台上一個專門介紹名人豪宅的節目。

註2：「Mile High Club」並不是什麼飛行俱樂部。所謂的「Mile High Club」其實是指在飛行中的飛機上打炮，當然，至少要離地1英里(mile)。

註3：「gold digger」照字面上的翻譯是「挖金礦的人」，也就是所謂的掏金客。掏金這種賭一把、投機的行為，後來被用來藉指女性對男性的「淘金」，也就是俗稱的拜金女，可見饒舌歌手Kanye West的《Gold Digger》。

註4：說起花花公子的封面女郎，對於圍繞在創辦人休·海夫納身邊的女人，大部分人的印象都是清一色金髮碧眼的白人，刻板形象如此的深入人心，甚至髮色非金髮的女郎們，都會將頭髮染成金色，以符合大眾甚至自我的期待。

註5：貓王(Elvis Presley)是50’年代崛起的搖滾樂代表性人物，1953-1960可說是貓王最輝煌的時刻，但從1960之後，壓力、精神狀況帶來的飲食、藥物問題，讓他在60-70的十年間健康急速走下坡，最終於1977年去世。那為什麼會扯到流蘇呢？我猜測是1970拉斯維加斯的演唱會上貓王穿著流蘇，這時期他已經在健康、精神、事業上碰到大問題，所以「流蘇就不要了謝謝」其實一是不想穿老氣的穿著，二可能是希望擁有貓王的偉大，但不想要像貓王一樣後期沒落吧。

註6：貓王曾經雇用四位空手道黑帶級別的保鑣(Ed Parker,Dave Hebler.Red and Sonny West and David Stanley)來保護自己的安全，結果其中的Dave Hebler.Red and Sonny West因為有時會過度粗暴的對待歌迷，所以被辭退了。在這裡變成8位保鑣，只是歌手為了自身安全所以才加倍(其實是諷刺啦)。

註7：「Centerfold」字面上的意思是雜誌中的摺頁，而在花花公子雜誌(Playboy)中有所謂的「玩伴女郎」(Playmate)，摺頁中會包括玩伴女郎的裸體照、一張海報及簡短自傳。

來自加拿大的搖滾樂團Nickelback，寫出了一首酸味十足卻又十分中肯的《Rockstar》，在歌詞裡面可以看到許多成名的風光，如豪宅、私人噴射機、簽名換餐點，但其實在表象之下都只是紙醉金迷的虛榮而已。
