Orphaned Land是來自於以色列的前衛金屬（Progressive Metal）團體，他們的曲風揉合了Heavy Metal的強勁厚重，同時又加入前衛金屬的精緻編曲。

這首〈Birth of the Three〉（三者之生）來自他們2004年的專輯《Mabool》。在這張概念專輯中，Orphaned Land利用音樂訴說了西方宗教的起源和傳說。

作為專輯的開場曲，三者之生的故事從亞伯拉罕諸教（也可解釋為唯一真神、上帝）分化成三個西方主要宗教－猶太教、伊斯蘭教、基督教說起。說明了三者的誕生與重新結合後降下的懲戒，專輯中接下來的11首曲子非常詳細的說到了洪水的毀滅和重生，作為一張概念專輯，真的是非常讓人驚艷，從曲風、歌詞到專輯美術設計，都十分的完整，可以說是一張完美的專輯，不過由於包含了死腔，所以想要嘗試的人可能需要一點時間來適應。
