A man came across this old tower one day
有一天，一位男子碰到這座老舊的高塔
It was straight like from a book he once read
塔就像書上讀到的那麼高聳
He lifted his head up and saw this young lady
他抬起頭向上一看，看見了一位年輕的女士
And here’s what the lady said:
然後這位女士開口說了：
“Moi je m’appelle mademoiselle noir
「我叫作黑暗小姐
Et comme vous pouvez le voir
就像你看到的
Je ne souris, ni ris, ni vis."
我不會笑，也不算活著」
Et c’est tout ce qu’elle a dit.
這就是她所說的一切
The man was so scared he could only run away
男子實在太害怕了，只能不顧一切的逃跑
He ran to the town and then said:
他逃回鎮上，並對鎮上的人說：
“I just saw a lady with the longest dark hair
「我剛剛看到一位頭髮又黑又長的女子
And I think she’s a living dead!"
我覺得她是個活死人」
The people, so scared, took their guns and their swords
人們感到十分驚恐，於是拿出武器將自己武裝起來
They ran to the tower and then
他們前往男子所說的那座高塔
They saw the pale lady and felt a great fear
然後他們看到了男子所說的那位蒼白的女子，並且感到極大的恐懼
When they heard how she said it again:
就在這時候，他們聽見她又說了一次
“Moi je m’appelle mademoiselle noir
「我叫作黑暗小姐
Et comme vous pouvez le voir
就像你看到的
Je ne souris, ni ris, ni vis."
我不會笑，也不算活著」
Et c’est tout ce qu’elle a dit.
這就是她所說的一切
The people, they knew what this all was about
驚恐的人們知道這代表什麼
She was clearly a demon from hell
她一定是從地獄來的惡魔
They decided to set her long hair on fire
他們決定在她的長頭髮上放火
In the end it would burn her as well
這樣最後一定能把惡魔燒死
But the lady was no demon she was a lonely soul
但這位女子並不是惡魔，她只是一個寂寞的靈魂
Just like in that book they once read
就像是書上所寫的那樣
Still waiting for her prince while her hair was on fire
就算她的頭髮燒起來了，她依舊在等待她的王子來救她
The one last time she said:
最後一次她說著
“Moi je m’appelle mademoiselle noir
「我叫作黑暗小姐
Et comme vous pouvez le voir
就像你看到的
Je ne souris, ni ris, ni vis."
我不會笑，也不算活著」
Et c’est tout ce qu’elle a dit.
